Kerper’s Gun Shop LLC had been family owned and operated since 1956. Our business started in one small room of Ed & Mary Kerper’s home on Richmond Rd in Fleetwood PA.

In 1975, following the death of her husband, Mary continued to operate the business with assistance from her son Ed until she chose to retire and relocate to a smaller residence.

In 1981, Ed and his wife Beth relocated Kerper’s to Oaklyn Drive near Bowmansville. They renovating part of their barn to establish the new location of Kerper’s Gun Shop.  

As business continued to grow, it expanded from two small rooms to one large room, with a “Bargain Bin” room that is still remembered today.

Ed loved the fact that his daughter Cheryl would work beside him learning the ins and outs of the business. And Trish would help out with the office side of the business when needed

Eventually, in June of 2000 Ed decided it was time to retire, and Cheryl purchased the business from him to become the 3rd generation owner.

In August of 2010, Ed & Beth sold the family farmland and Cheryl moved the business to our current location on Route 625 in Bowmansville, PA.

Since then, the business has grown tremendously thanks to our loyal customers. We now employ six wonderful P/T Sales Associates and Trish joined the team full time in 2015 to fill the role of Manager/Sales Associate.

Our goal here at Kerper’s Gun Shop is to continue the family tradition of making you feel at home while you’re shopping and to keep your purchase as simple and hassle-free as possible. The knowledgeable and friendly staff here at Kerper’s will always do their best to make your shopping experience a pleasant one.
