WHAT DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A FIREARM?
You will need a valid PA issued ID Card or Driver’s License. If you have recently moved, we will also need the yellow update card for your new address. If you need to update your address with PennDot, you can use this link. PA.GOV
WHERE CAN I GET MY CONCEAL CARRY PERMIT?
If you’d like to get your conceal carry permit, you must apply for it through the sheriff’s office in your county. Below are the links for Lancaster, Berks and Chester Counties.
DO WE TRANSFER FIREARMS?
Yes. We will accept transfers for online purchases as well as person to person transfers. Please see our Firearm Transfers page for more details.
MY RELATIVE WANTS TO GIVE ME A FIREARM. WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO?
For Handguns: There is legally no paperwork that needs to be completed if you are one of the following relations, as long as you BOTH live in Pennsylvania:
- Parent
- Grandparent
- Child
- Grandchild
- Spouse
For any other relative, friend or seller, the firearm must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer.
For any Long Gun: In PA, there is no legal requirement for the firearm to be transferred through a dealer, as long as both parties live in Pennsylvania. Although it’s not necessary, we do recommend that an “Invoice” of some sort be written up, signed and given to both parties.
CAN YOU ORDER A FIREARM THAT I’M INTERESTED IN?
Absolutely! As long as one of our distributors has the firearm in stock, we can usually have it delivered to us within a week.
CAN WE WORK ON YOUR FIREARM?
We do some light repair work in-house (i.e. scope mounting), for other repairs we will send your firearm with our local gunsmith, Clay Youndt, and will notify you when it has been returned.
For newer firearms still under warranty – we will gladly ship the firearm back to the manufacturer. There is usually no charge for this service, unless we are not provided with a shipping label.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I FAIL MY BACKGROUND CHECK?
If you fail your background check, you will not be allowed to leave the premises with any firearm. We will provide you with a “Challenge Form” that can be filled out and sent to the PA State Police. They will then review your denial and provide you with the reason and in some cases, they will inform you of steps that can be completed to reverse the denial.
I DON’T LIVE IN PA, CAN I SELL/TRANSFER A FIREARM TO A PA RESIDENT?
The only way a non-resident of PA can sell or transfer a firearm to a PA resident, is to ship it to an authorized FFL dealer. We will gladly work with you to facilitate any transfer.
DO YOU SHIP FIREARMS?
Yes we do. In order for us to be able to ship your firearm, we will need a copy of the receiving dealers FFL license. They can email a copy to us at kerpers@hotmail.com, please be sure that they include your name and the buyers name in the email. After we receive that information, we will prepare your firearm for shipment and email you the cost and the tracking number. At your convenience, you can then call to make payment over the phone, or stop by.
We will compare pricing between different carries to offer you the best value for your shipment. We will charge the actual cost to ship plus $15.00. All shipments will be set with “Adult Signature Required”.
